There's a UK service for members of the public which you can turn to if the social media company isn't helpful, or for advice on what's legally actionable and such, so maybe there's something analogous outside the UK?

I have a friend who's had a fake account sending people to her actual home address for a couple of years to buy things put on marketplace (things that don't exist). So many people have reported it, and nothing has ever been done.

In the past few weeks it seems they have stopped enforcing fraud altogether.
