I wondered what hell a "strong mandate" was? Doug can mess around with an unnecessary election (FA), and see where it gets him (FO). The electorate is a bit moody and unforgiving now.

I have zero trust in Ford. He's up to something with this election. Whatever it is, he knows we'll still be angry about it come the scheduled election date in a year. He needs more time for people to get over it. So get another majority now and have 4 more years of catering to his rich friends.

What we need is a premier to fix health care and education, focus on future economic issues and not line his buddies pockets.

The problem is, the Liberals and NDP have been so useless no one even knows WHO the Ontario Liberal leader or Ontario NDP leader is. Pretty hard to win even a minority when you've spent years being completely invisible.

How can anyone say that -- esp about NDP's Marit Stiles. As Leader of the Opposition she is front & centre every day, even when Leg not siting (which under Ford is most of the time). We have access to more information than any voters in history. How can anyone not be able to inform themsleves?

Ford needs a new mandate before the federal election because a Con win will leave him exposed to voter ire that was previously directed at Trudeau. With Trudeau gone, a new target for anger about mismanagement of healthcare, education and housing will be needed. And that is likely to be Ford.
