I'm a little confused here, maybe I'm missing something (I trade forex): If USDJPY is going down, that means Yen is getting stronger vs. the dollar/dollar is weaker (each dollar converts into less and less yen)

Because interest rates were so low in Japan, you could borrow yen, stick it in a US bank and then convert back and make free money (an arbitrage). A lot of banks and large investors were boosting their bottom line this way. Now the Yen is getting stronger against the dollar, so this trade is no

There is likely no true port in the coming storm that will be "safe".

I've been saying to make any large purchases you may have put off or been eyeing a bit further down the road.

But it's anyone's guess what might NOT end up getting crunched in the coming crash.
