Code Geass was my first one!! I remember my friend in highschool bringing the DVDs along and I ended up going home and watching nearly all of it in a week (*･ω･)

Oh man I remember being shown random episodes of Code Geass in high school, but never from the beginning. I was so confused back then to what was happening. I finally watched it from start to finish in like 2018, but I really enjoyed it! It was a long time coming.

A core memory of my early anime days was waking up to the ending credits of Inuyasha because I’d always fall asleep trying to stay up late to watch anime. I did eventually watch the show, but that experience sticks with me for some reason.

Oooo, Soul Eater is one of my favorites. I really hope that one day it can get a FMA Brotherhood treatment since the manga wasn't finished when the anime finished. Not to mention Fire Force was revealed to be a prequel to Soul Eater.

It’s kind of wild how much anime was available on tv that a lot of us just didn’t recognize as anime. Though to be entirely fair, at the end of the day anime is just another form of animation. It’s neat to learn about other people’s experiences.

I think for me it was Outlaw Star. Like I have seen Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon before but I think Outlaw Star was was the first one where I realized "Oh this isn't just a normal cartoon."

From what I remember of the show, Outlaw Star is definitely and eye opener in the medium. Especially if it was when anime wasn’t super accessible. Oh how I miss the space cowboys of the 90s.

the first anime I sought out specifically bc I wanted to watch more anime was Cowboy Bebop, it was on some sites top 10 of all time list

I believe the first intentional watch for me was Sailor Moon. Before that I've had already watched Naruto, Ashita no Nadja and a few more, but that's when I truly and consciously began to navigate the anime world. I was 11, i guess?
Also Tokyo Mew Mew was one of my favorites soon after!

Haha we're probably around the same age, anime were still seen as nerdy and weird, but the sales were rising and there was a few options within cable tv. At least in my country!
Mew Mew manga was amazing! I've never read Berry's volumes though

I recently started rewatching bleach because I remember struggling with the anime as a teen. Though I did binge as much of the manga that was available at the library back then, then promptly forgot about continuing as newer volumes came out.
