We’re partnering w/ a number of groups participating in an #economicblackout THIS Friday, 2/28.
Do not spend, if possible.
No Starbucks on your way to work.
No drinks w/ the coworkers after work.
No dining out.
No Walmart run.
No quick McDonald’s drive-thru hit.
Hurt their wallets!

Geeze.
We need to keep the pressure on for much longer than a day, sorry.
One day is de minimus.
Even if you got every single Harris voter to participate I doubt anyone would notice a 24 hour blip.
General Strike US seems to want to demonize capitalism. I believe we don't necessarily want to demonize the small businesses and self-employed who are basically trying to provide a service.
It’s not about what I might or might not earn that day, it’s about showing my support in the fight against fascism.
Fet Farque of the US?
Fascist Freak...
Anyway, it isn't good.
Keep up the good work.
Love it!
We applaud all efforts to change things.
Anything is better than nothing. And we’ve got a whole lot of “anythings” happening now… down the road… it is all adding up.
I will go to my local library.
Maybe take a walk.
This will be epic…..

A 1 day boycott isn't going to cut it. Nor a week. This isn't going to show up on a balance sheet. You'd better be prepared to go all the way.
Otherwise-and I don't really CARE if you like what I'll say next-we can consider this little more than a STUNT.
THEY WANT ECONOMIC DISTRESS
lol
Sigh
I'm trying folks.
Start small.
Or not.
You have choices.

I’m taking profits out of any retirement accounts (thank you Joe) and saving.
I expect the worst results out of Trump. And we’re seeing it.
They want us to feel like we can do nothing? We will show them just how hard we can do nothing.
Defund the stock market.
Cash out all your investments.
The game is way above the average person’s spending
No membership to Netflix
Just don’t
So you’ll have to excuse me if I buy food on the 28th.
And probably liquor. Ever since I found out we’re not getting hit by that asteroid I want to drink.
#usprotests
Support your neighbors in their small businesses.
Support local - they depend on it.
...once a month..
EVERY 28th....
Stop spending frivolously NOW, and go as long as you can! Only buy essentials. Groceries, medication, etc.
Stop buying from Amazon, Target, Walmart entirely!
The 28th will preview for businesses how, if those cuts make it through, there will be a whole lot more people with nothing to spend.
What's stopping us from an effective general strike?
The fact that most Americans are two paychecks away from homelessness.
My first thought was that renters/mortgage companies would be more forgiving than 2 months, then I pulled my head out of my ass.
The post also cited a study that claimed 70% of us live paycheck-to-paycheck.
We have to come together with our communities to support each other, yesterday.
Yes we do. And every one more person informed is one more person informed, so I know folks doing "bring a +1 to the town hall" now.
As for eviction grace, that literally depends on where you live.

Love it!
Do unto others, not as you want them to do to you, but AS THEY DO TO YOU!!!
Fight back!!
Resist, Resit, Resist!!!!
Just a normal day!
Boycotting certain corporations should have already been on your daily to-do list. Your vote increasingly doesn't matter.
Your spending does.
And get a garden going. Nows the time to start certain crops indoors, like Peppers and Cole Crops.

Shop small, local businesses instead of mega retailers.
Use cash so big banks don’t get the card swipe fees.
Cancel Amazon Prime and Subscribe & Save items.
Cut the cable cord so Fox News won’t get the monthly carrier fees.
Buy from the guy who lives two blocks down.
He spends his money in your town.
He helps to build your civic center.
He may employ your tenant/renter.
The big corporations are fighting for even bigger tax cuts so they don’t have to pay their share for the infrastructure that allowed them to grow so big in the first place.
DO WITHOUT ANYTHING.
LET THEM FEEL OUR POWER.
THE TIME TO BOYCOTT IS NOW.
MLK WOULD STAND TALL BEHIND THIS EFFORT.
JESUS CHRIST WOULD MOST ASSUREDLY BACK THIS.
WE ARE ONE. THEY ARE FEW. WE WILL WIN...
Now do this for a couple of weeks... 🤔
And since you can simply move your purchases to the day before or after it has no negative impact to the retailers.
JK, love the idea and I'm all in!
756 billionaires
vs.
74 million Americans who voted against the billionaire party
You got this ✊️
I stand with you.
Boycott! Boycott! Boycott!
With you all to be UNITED.
