No, he wouldn't. My grandfather was one of the brave individuals who was on the beach at Normandy on D-Day. The only thing that type of person counts on is our passivity. The only way to win against fascism is to actually fight. They don't respect peace. We need to bring the fight to them.

I hope the NDP fights for the universality in policies against the wishes of other parties. Even when you concede to win small gains, be loud about what you really want and who's preventing it. Populist messaging backed by principled convictions will win voters; they're sick of grift and corruption.

Is this line of attack going to work? I feel like promoting tax cuts as a major gov't initiative is building a narrative for the CPC for the election. Can we as a social democratic party focus on building non-market institutions to deal with the shocks caused by the market?

I don't think this will be an enduring self-own for the CPC, it may be a boon in how we expect the narrative of governance to favour tax breaks. Whereas, we should be trying to get wealth taxes and raising taxes on the 1% to build the kinds of services we need right now.

Co-operative housing, food relief, dental care, pharmacare - all of these things need money to get off the ground. And we are seeing the rise of powerful oligarchs. The tax system is how we can fight them and we are negotiating that away in rhetoric.
