I don't think I'd remembered that Omar Yaghi spoke, but he was up first, apart from Carole Read's initial DOE overview.
And you spoke on the Tuesday afternoon...
That must have been about the time where Yaghi's group reported high H2 uptakes in MOFs that were actually due to water present in the H2 feed, no?
The high H₂ uptakes for MOFs were reported in a paper in 2003, but lower uptakes were later reported in 2004, so the dodgy data had already been 'corrected' by then.

It is interesting that Michael Hirscher spoke directly after Yaghi. I don't remember anything about the talk, but the abstract mentions reproducibility problems.
