The detailed protest roundup is the main reason I turn on @maddow.msnbc.com every night. Plus, her show regularly has ‘today in court action against trump’ roundups. Both segments are a inspiring reminders that things aren’t completely hopeless.

I took my sister for cataract surgery this morning. (It went fine.) 3 people in the waiting room were venting about what's going on. I got them signed up with Indivisible, 5 Calls, and a Chris Murphy Town Hall on Friday. I mean in the waiting room in Wilton. The anxiety is real and it's everywhere.

I mean I get it. Gives them a way to do something and feel a little less powerless. Or more positively - lets them recognize their own power. Sad to say in a way - the horror show gives you a reason to connect.

And we went through (some) level of this 8 years ago. Here we are again. The attacks of 2017 seem mild compared to the last 8 weeks. Most of my local Indivisible seemed to disband during Biden/Harris administration - back now! Has it only been 8 weeks!?! Going to be a long and contentious fight ✊

We were too complacent during Biden / Harris. People felt the normal come back (post covid especially) and we clung to it. Took it for granted. Human beings sometimes don't get it together until there's an actual emergency. We have muscle memory though. April 5 will be huge I think.

Yes! People just need to know where to get info and what's available for them to do/get involved with -- that's been my experience too. No only is the anxiety real and everywhere but ppl understand the need to DO something besides sit home and fret. Thanks for what you did!

Do you really think people who are protesting didn’t vote? Activists vote. We voted and now we are still fighting for the people who didn’t vote. If you voted and haven’t been on the street protesting (pretty sure you haven’t since you said “these angry people”,) get on it.

I’ve been “on it” for decades. Any change must come from the rethuglicans. If the administration keeps screwing up, we may have a shot in the midterms. By then Congressional oversight may be moot. In which case it will take 20 years to regain power. See Brazil, Turkey and Hungary. Good luck.
