I voted for her, BUT, she could have reached out to anti-genocide voters, she could have said she would support international law in regards to Israel, she could have vowed her administration would treat Palestinians like humans. Maybe choosing Israel over those voters wasn’t such a smart idea.

👆I apologize for sounding snarky. The Palestinian people have suffered greatly as have the Israelis. Trump is not, was not, & never will be a solution unless it benefits him financially. It was so plainly obvious. This needs to be over - taking the humanity of all as the major concern

Biden’s Israel policy, which Harris vowed to continue, was declare red lines, allow Israel to cross them without repercussions. Israel’s plan under Biden was empty Gaza of Palestinians, fill it with Israeli settlers. New plan is to empty Gaza of Palestinians, fill it with condos and golf courses.

Much of the organizing is directed from Iran and Qatar. The goal is to destabilize the West and win a longterm geopolitical war. The wellbeing of Gazans is not their priority. They are cannon fodder.

I don’t know exactly how closely the uncommitted people are linked to the broader movement, but the movement and protests broadly are being organized by or closely tied to groups there, yes. Samidoun, for example, which organizes on campuses across the country.

This is not why anti-genocide folks didn’t vote for Harris. Most didn’t vote for Trump either. They abstained in anguish and despair, having decided voting for a pro-genocide candidate was a moral line they could not cross. And Dems gleefully arrested many who dared protest, nearly all peacefully.

I wonder how closely aligned the "taking of Gaza" talk is with the fundamentalist & evangelical agenda (mission) to hasten the rapture and Armageddon. I do not want to dismiss what's happening to the Palestinians, but he also doesn't give a crap about Israel or Jews.
