Someone should say "Very good Lee. Now, why were we fighting at the Somme? There was a group callled? And what did they beleive? And what do you and your followers beleive? Now! Bonus question. Which side of the battle of the Somme would you have been on ideologically?"
My great-grandfather died in March 1918 having fought throughout the war. My great-grandmother was left with seven kids to feed. She was denied her war widows pension by the likes of Anderson for 15 years.
Her heroism was in managing to keep her family together all that time.
More sacrifice than 50p
No women driving ambulances, nurses risking their lives as at the front? Land Army? Munitions factories? The "war effort" was fought by men and women during WWI and WWII. Anderson never knowingly right about anything 🙄
Post Somme Depression I find the hardest to cope with, not the battle itself, which is hard enough. Bloody Jerry. Going OTT before Christmas perhaps. In the meantime a game of football with the enemy...
I bet if women had been in charge at the time there wouldn’t have been a Battle of the Somme “No, Franz, we’re not going to Sarajevo. We’re going round to my mother’s. It’s her birthday and you said you’d come with me!!”
What is it with these Reform wannabe war heroes? Faux-rage once said his biggest regret was not being part of the D-day landings. Mind you, he also famously said ‘I’m not getting out of the car, that man’s got a milkshake!’
Farage could be feasibly cast as Private Walker in another remake of Dad’s Army or, Arthur Daley in a reboot of Minder. Both spivs & grifters, so no acting skills necessary, he could just be himself.
Battle of Somme casualties treated at St Johns hospital by women.
It was bombed on two occasions. The second bombing took place on 31 May and obliterated the hospital. 30p MP Lee Anderson needs to update his history.
It’s easy to see and understand why so many people apparently see 30p #LeeAnderson 🤡 and his #deceitful and #dissembling fellow #ReformParty 💩🎪colleagues as the future of British politics.
Are we really going to consider doing a #Trump 🤡 in the #UK⁉️⁉️
Could you check the status of the war whilst you're there, please? We'd like to know how it's going, is there perhaps a lull in fighting, etc. If possible, an interview with Lee Anderson; it would be a valuable contribution to the annals of these late stages of the conflict.
I wish, just once, an interviewer on live TV would present him with this screen shot and ask him, "on how many occasions, within your lifetime, Lee, have you actually dealt with The Battle of the Somme?"
30p Lee jumped into a taxi, yapping in his curiously high-pitched voice 'Waterloo please driver'.
'The station?'
'No, the battle, apparently I'm over a century late for the Somme'.

Thanks to @gemmagould.bsky.social who taught me this...
I can't imagine the cost of having to wear anti-Somme pads every single days.
What a lightweight.
I'm fucking Passchendaele, mate, you don't see me whining.

Capacity being a continuing issue, in any case. 😐🙀

Which is a bloody ridiculous argument, as they are also the ones that start the wars.

What did we do to deserve this

30p will be nowhere to be seen.

When I got Battlefield 1, I played it so much that my thumb got sore.
Women have biological issues men had the battle of Carthage
