The near-total inability of ordinary citizens to influence decision-making leaves resistance as the sole viable response to the misuse of governmental power and unjust decisions.

Was recently sent this paper that basically shows government policies respond almost exclusively to the desires of rich constituents. I feel like it's gotten worse since publication too. https://www.princeton.edu/~mgilens/idr.pdf
I think the bar for "wealthy" has changed in the past 20 years. My spouse and I are considered wealthy by this report's standards, but we are solidly middle-class. I also think politicians are influenced more by corporations than individuals, especially since the Citizens United ruling in 2010.
I don’t know the intended meaning in this post. But to be, true resistance can be as simple as saying no when you’re told to do something you are fully aware is wrong.
Usually, if you’re in a situation asking yourself: “is this wrong? I feel like it’s wrong.”
Resistance can mean a lot of things. Sometimes it takes the form of spamming copies of Bee Movie to a government email. Other times, it's refusing to assist LEOs as they hunt for immigrants to deport. There are many, many nonviolent ways to resist.
"You are the few, we are the many. And when the many stop fearing the few... No doubt many of us would fall. But who are we? We have no names, no family, everyone one of us is poor, powerless, and yet together... we can overthrow an empire."
Agreed. We all have to come out with some consistent and powerful ways to protest...ideas:
Stop paying federal taxes?
Stop buying things?
Stop paying mortgage/debts?
Demand pay in cash?
If possible:
Stop working
Stop travelling
Clog streets and halt commerce
Ignore police & courts
Resistance can be integrated into daily life by subtly changing how we approach routine tasks—shifting perspectives, supporting ethical choices, and aligning everyday actions with our values, all without disrupting our routines.

NEVER obey in advance!
Call out fascists everywhere they are!
Usually, if you’re in a situation asking yourself: “is this wrong? I feel like it’s wrong.”
Then your gut says it’s wrong. Say no.

What else?
