A reminder that for the VAST majority of people impacted by that.. this was a good thing.

Hundred million+ people are safer, wealthier and in a better place due to that event.

The old ruler lost, the people under its rule didn't.

This can be the same, Europe can thrive from this event. 🤞

This is the moment, a once in generation moment to rip out US Technology colonisation of Europe, to recognise China was right and we were wrong twenty years ago. You need your own ecosystem you can control.

Building defence independence allows this to happen and frees Europe / makes it safer.

If we foster our own Opensource transparent AI, refocus on hosting everything in Europe, regulate US Tech even more whilst building defence capability... Then back Ukraine until it wins.

Europe in 2035 is a regional superpower, Russia is humbled plus Europe controls Med, Baltic & North Atlantic.

Think it's been a long time coming. But perhaps there needed to be a reality check. If you keep cutting defence spending, turn a blind eye to hostile interference in elections, welcome dirty money and allow evasions of sanctions, as a country, perhaps all's not well.

A massive split is coming between the US and those European states that will stay friendly with Trump and those that won’t. An EU split is also on the cards. Massive benefit to Russia and China, of course.

Well, presumably the Five Eyes is exploded. I remember a senior intelligence officer describing Brexit as the successful ‘peeling off’ by Putin of the UK intelligence services from our European allies. The Kremlin must be like a Magaluf 24 hour party bus at the moment.

There its such an ingrained assumption of what the USA is/was I fear a massive disavowal from a dangerously large segment of Europe's political leadership who just won't allow themselves to 'see' what is clear. Under Trump the USA is no longer an ally, but a threat.

War often speeds up change so I feel that we are on the verge of global re-alignment. Starmer and Macron’s visit to Trump will be instrumental in that process.
