I was in Dean Treanor’s property class when he was in his 2nd or 3rd year of teaching at Fordham, so about 1000 years ago. This letter is eerily reminiscent of his attitude towards 1Ls who showed up to class without doing the reading. That’s just a bad place for even an Interim USAtty to be.

A letter from a US Attorney such as Martin’s carries with it the implication, at least, of criminal consequences for failing to satisfy his whims. As we know, this is unethical, in the Professional Responsibilty sense, and GU’s letter should have addressed this ethical lapse.
