I loved the idea of the Libs putting up "Zoe votes ~ 7X% of the time with the greens" like yeah. That's her fucking campaign promise you bozos, thanks for the free advertising I guess
I love how they use a positive feature as an insult. An independent who votes with whomever based on the quality of the bill and not just a random affiliuatrion is what we need more of.
Assuming Zoe is independent, Greens is a left-wing minor party, Labor is Australia's Democrats, Liberal is Australia's Republicans and One Nation is an openly far right minor party.
While they call themselves 'Liberals', they are the US Equivalent to Republicans, or Canada's equivalent to Conservatives.
The Labour Party is equivalent to Canada's Liberals. The equivalent to US Democrates - in a way. Canada and Australia's governmental system is different from the US.
Red was associated with communism, especially in the U.S. Assigning the (right-wing) Republicans red in election maps was used by news agencies so the Democrats could not be stigmatized as “left-commies.”
this is true!!! over here in the UK, the Labour Party is red, and the Conservative Party are blue
i do hope the Labour Party shows us its capabilities to be particularly progressive soon, though, as they seem to have been centring out to win favour with older voters...

Liberals/ Democrats were Red
Conservative/ Republicans were Blue
There were years where it would switch, depending on who was the incumbent.
Depending on the TV network, it alternated, since even before 1976... but by 2000, the GOP = Red, Dems = Blue stuck.
