In this Indiana diner, everyone has three questions: How's the breaded tenderloin? Is the quarry hiring? And when will the feds finally put an end to congestion pricing in Manhattan?

For a group of people who hate that city so much, they sure seem to care an awful lot about what happens there. Same for non-border states. Like, are you really worried about getting over run with people in your town of *checks notes* Marietta, Ohio?
So, you are telling us that the rubes in Indiana don't give a crap about destroying peoples lives, or their democracy, or other countries? Good to know.
Not all in Indiana feel this way. We are a minority true, but maybe it’s a good thing to get to know our republicans neighbors(albeit sometimes a tough pull to swallow)… and speak out loud and proud in red states.
The next alternative is to schedule maintenance during certain parts of the day in certain locations that will make it so miserable to drive downtown that the commuters will be begging for congestion pricing.
In this New Jersey McMansion, ordinary Americans are relieved that Donald Trump has restored their Cybertruck's constitutional right to park on Manhattan sidewalks.
And my fave: “Thank God Trump is making those lazy, big-city pieces of shit workers stop working from home and get back into their office as God intended.” While they use up every single minute of FMLA they can when they jam their pinky finger so that they can stay home and, wait for it, be lazy. 🙄
I live in Indianapolis and I can guarantee you that 99% of my neighbors couldn't find Manhattan on Google Earth with the labels turned off if their lives depended on it.
I remember one of my friends (back when I was in highschool) went to Cali on vacation and someone had asked what country Indiana was in…🤦🏼♀️ crossroads of America my ass when people in this country don’t even know Indiana is a state 😭
She said: my family and i moved twice to the, US--first to California, an then we left and had to live in Indiana. After awhile, we moved back to the US from Indiana, and lived in New York. 😁
Mid conversation the barkeep surprised me with a “manhattan” of 7 malort shots, poured slow, and what he called locally sourced, “liberal tears from Gary”
“Congested? Were steel and don’t know the word”
America? I thought - for a moment - in some way this house may be a home.
Terrance McAffrey, saint-like father of two and local militia member shared, “I know trump will do the right thing and stop congestion pricing. He’s a man of his word.”
Is that anything like being trapped in a small town without transportation and having to walk up to the Dollar Store or the gas station to buy essentials for more money than the bigger “in town” stores?
I’m a transportation planner. This is my time to shine.
Congestion pricing is requiring a fee to enter a zone in a car/truck. It’s designed to reduce driving into highly congested areas. It has led to lower traffic in lower Manhattan and an increase in transit use.
Because I’m exhausted by *all this* and because I’m an urban planner and because NYC congestion pricing has been so successful I was reduced to tears by that stupid, stupid announcement.
Let’s open the dams and release this summer’s irrigation water to stop the fires in LA. FEDERAL OVER REACH‼️ This is a states rights issue. I’ll cry with you.
Except that “rural Hoosier” lives in Carmel and drives his massive lifted truck into Indianapolis to work at his office job. Complains about the price of gas, can’t park the thing, and probably took a cyclist out last week and kept going.
This is so fucking accurate. Hamilton county votes red but Carmel has been shifting purple steadily. Those purple people need to speak out. They are too afraid to rock the boat here. that’s part of the problem. stop being friendly with fascists imo.
I'm from Indiana, been here all my life, unfortunately. A good breaded pork tenderloin is wonderful!! However, if you mention Manhattan to most Hoosiers, they'll ask if it's turkey or beef.
honestly the irony is that I can actually buy some yahoos in rural bumfuck nowhere Indiana having an opinion on NYC congestion pricing because everything is now the national culture war
Here in Romania, bordering Ukraine, we too have been concerned about this issue for a while. The news won't shut up about it. Glad it's over. Thoughts and prayers to all New Yorkers who had to suffer paying a congestion fee. That is hardship the likes of which we cannot imagine.
Shadow government time shadow government time we need to start planning the overthrow of this unconstitutional entity currently occupying our government

The working class are taking the subway, and riding the bus. The post was sarcasm, we are not talking about congestion pricing at work, we are talking about funding our cancer research, and thanks to King DonOLD, a hiring freeze and layoffs.
The working class people in NYC in many areas cannot take the subway to Manhattan. Plenty of places in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx when this is hard or impractical or very unsafe.
There’s an exception for low income people who actually do have cars, as well as people with disabilities, so it’s a lie turducken.
They just want the rest of us to pay for them to drive— massive subsidies to oil companies and designing most public infrastructure for cars aren’t enough for them.

The breaded tenderloin MUST be twice as big as the bun. Always. The bun is basically just a garnish.
They'll want to move there.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
By the age of four, she had lived in three countries, Vietnam, Indiana, and the US.

State's rights! No federal overreach (unless it's to own the libs)

Cus I know all about that price gouge.

How’s the car manufacturer our government revolves around supposed to profit with that?
