The taxes have been paid. It's actually rare that jail time is imposed on unpaid taxes. And if everyone that ever lied on their gun application was in prison...well there aren't enough prisons.
Meanwhile, trump doesn't pay his taxes and many of the legal charges got dismissed. That's a travesty.
No jail time has been imposed or will ever be. The process just got short circuited by pardon. Those charges could have gotten 45 years. Would have been much less.

45 years for what? A gun charge not used in a crime, and taxes that have been paid? Way off. And it was his intention to plead guilty, but GOP congresspeople got involved and badgered the court and the judge rejected the guilty plea.
If it were a different jurisdiction, the president couldn't pardon him. They are federal charges. Hunter is scuzzy and I couldn't care any less for him than I do, but the whole thing hardly compares to the criminal activities of tRump or the pardons he dealt out.
Considering how many nepo appointments the #FascistPOTUS is issuing it seems only fair for Joe to do that...and there is still time to put his immunity to use by calling out #TeamSealSix...
Biden should pardon lots of people to protect them. Trump ran an open campaign to punish political rivals—pardoning them all will…allow Trump to focus on the business of the people. 🙂

Without the pardon, Hunter would not be able to go to many countries. With Trump threatening the lives of his family, I don’t blame President Biden for doing everything in his power to protect them.

How blame ex President for charges from Bidens justice department? Hunter pled guilty before election so his Pops could pardon. Fix was in.
