All right it’s slow as balls on the football front but it’s time for another Q&A anyway. Ask me any serious question you have about the NFL and I’ll answer it as best I can.

Agreed. Matt Barrows said last week on Tim Kawakami’s podcast that the FO just submits a number and ghosts the player/agent for a week, then repeats again when they get a response. I literally facepalmed when I heard it. Ffs 🤦🏻
Oh come on…. lol…. That’s not how you land people you want… FFS is right….. Eddie went and got the players and paid them…. The expectations are insane for this team… especially with this schedule this year…. Ffs!
Not Drew (clearly) but this annoys the heck out of me. Best guess is that the current gen of media members were all around high school age when the cowboys were last good and they can’t shake it. Sort of like how music from that era is always the “best”
Saw a post on here after the Barkley thing last week that most professional athletes are politically conservative. What’s the main factor in that? Traditional culture in American sports? Turning fiscally/socially conservative after they make money? Something else?
My candidate would be the prevalence of weirdo billionaire owners, and a career path of "head down, focus on my sport to the exclusion of anything except what we talk about in the locker room, and everyone around me caters to that."
I think that could definitely explain maybe not wanting to make their views known, for fear of reprisal, but not necessarily for being actively conservative.
I mean, if you spend time socializing with and sucking up to a billionaire who runs an operation exploiting the physical labor of his work force until they have exhausted their usefulness, the reactionary views might easily rub off. These are the most "successful" "important" people you meet.
As a former participant in the Stefan Diggs Experience, can you tell me if I have more to worry about with him than just getting him targets? Patriots have targets galore, and that seemed to have been the crux of the issue at previous stops.
Scale of 1-10, how terrible will the browns training camp be this year with the Sanders situation in town? Will Mel Kiper be increasingly furious if by day two he's not the starter?
We know that QB is most valuable and RB is (probably) least valuable. But how would you order some of the other positions to take in the draft by value? WR, OT, DE, DT, CB, OG, S, LB?
This is what I don’t understand: insiders now largely insist he fell not based on playing ability, but based on pre-draft process. Isn’t the latter mostly irrelevant now that he has a chance to compete?
Are the Lions an actual highly functioning franchise now, have the last two years just been an elaborate ruse on the part of the football demons to break my heart in new and creative ways, and now they go back to a 5 win season?
Say Sanders wins the starting job in Cleveland and starts 17 games. How many games does he have to win (or how well does he have to play) for them not to be gunning for a new QB in 2026?
How amazing would that be with the two teams that have lost 4? And on a scale of 1 to Stephen A. Smith's head exploding on live television how insane would the 2 week media circus be?
As an aside Bill Barnwell and Dominique Foxworthy did a podcast where they redrafted the 2024 first round and they picked these guys before Caleb:

As an Eagles fan I was bitter about seeing the pilgramage to Fascist Corner to kiss the ring. I can’t buy “It’s not about politics” when babies dying of cancer are being thrown on the garbage heap of deportation. Your take? Should we separate politics & sports in this moment?
I’d dispute that. This has been a painfully dull offseason but past trade markets have been pretty active. The NBA’s CBA will always keep that league’s trade market more active though
The running back position seems ‘back’, but its stick has risen because of guy like S Barkley, T Henry, and even A Jeanty already. The big question is - will the fullback be fully back? Do any teams even have one?

(Also, Denver strangely)
Related question: are the cowboys still adding fans or is this "America's team" thing withering like old ballsacks?

Looking forward to you brutalizing my beloved Patriots later this summer in Why Your Team Sucks!
tbf i think going decades without a playoff win was purgatory!
The cravings for play action, even crappily run play action, are just too strong.

Is it bc conditioning/training isn't keeping up with how the game is played?
Or is it bc the season keeps expanding, with multiple games per week, which gives players no time to recover?
But I've paid more attention the last couple of years than I used to, so maybe the attrition is normal.
Also, props to the front office for giving him what he needs for (hopefully) success!
