the theory of protest discipline isn’t that the thing you’re protesting won’t attack you, it’s that you will appear more sympathetic if they kick the shit out of you while you were exercising discipline, they used this theory in the Civil Rights Movement too

By 2024, it became clear that the war was not going to end soon, and that Republicans were horrendous for Palestinians. Anyone involved in Palestinian liberation in an organized manner should have prioritized defeating Republicans by then. Anyone who didn't should reflect on why.

There’s a time and place for criticism of protest tactics but it’s not on public fora when protesters on the ground need support more than anything. This is also part of messaging discipline
