3/5 When a medium becomes too big and centralized, there's trouble ahead. It was accidental that Trump was the one to take advantage of this to route around journalism and go direct, but it was not accidential that Musk did.

I don't believe there is even a board of directors at X.
State run media is a real possibility, if not already a reality.
What is and will continue to be truly amazing to witness is the amount of people who are on board with dystopian tones that may saturate our future.
4/5 Speaking of Musk, maybe he will temper Trump's desire for retribution. It may be a vain hope, but I'll cling to it anyway. Doing business in a world of retribution might not be too conducive to the creativity needed to run innovative tech businesses.
Yeah. I think Elon has to actually be out of the way before there will be a way to make those consequences apparent to Trump (or at least stand a chance to).
Musk has zero self-control or understanding of other human being’s emotions or tendencies. He’s just gonna stand there with a can of gas next to flame with a shit-eating grin on his face
It will be interesting to see how the Trump/Elon dynamic plays out. If Elon is genuinely concerned about the national debt and his "temporary hardship" threatens Trumps support from his base, Trump would shut that down. Trump would think taking a temp hardship approach is for sucker's and losers.
Sadly, I do believe this is a vain hope. Musk is as driven by pettiness, vengeance, and (lately) ignorance as Trump is. His public behavior is shockingly unstable and vindictive, and not just on Twitter/X. And now he's all-in on MAGA and its culture of spite.
This isn't new with Musk. Case in point: his snotty "pedo guy" attacks on Vern Unsworth during the 2018 Thai cave rescue. It's just become way more amplified as he descends further into the far-right online cesspool of conspiracy theories and grievance. He's not going to constrain Trump whatsoever.
5/5 A climate of fear doesn't inspire great software. I know the quality of products Musk makes, I own and love my Tesla Model Y. Best car I've ever owned or driven.
