Symbolic votes and abstention by GOP deficit hawks made this vote look closer than it was. Thomas Massie and Andy Harris were not going to be the decisive votes to block the bill. They, and other hold outs, would have switched to "yea" if there was any real threat to the bill.

What sucks is that this has been going on so long the customer bases really have changed. People that used to be Rockefeller Republicans are a part of the coalition now and parts of the old base are losing their marbles shopping at Q-mart. We’re 45 years down the line of a flawed 50 year strategy.
