what the moment calls for is fighters instead of gormless boobs who should have retired 30 years ago. policy differences can be hashed out later, everyone can agree that Musk and Trump must be stopped and democracy restored

In every single interview I’ve done with international media since Trump took power I’ve been asked: Why are there no mass protests? There are many reasons, of course, but the utter refusal of the self-proclaimed “fourth estate” to communicate clearly what is happening has to be high on the list.

The bipartisan efforts to demonize and criminalize pro-Palestinian protestors have also contributed to the lack of mobilization of civil society against Trump, and this was EXACTLY what the right wanted when they cynically exploited Democrats' racism/desires to suppress any dissent.

"We don't work for DOGE. We have always worked for you." Yes!

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

TOP DEM POLLSTER: The more New Yorkers learn about the MONSTER that is ANDREW CUOMO the less they will accept him as their mayor. So many of us New Yorkers are ready to show who he is. An abuser. A liar. A crook who constantly helps himself at the expense of New Yorkers. t.co/REla7UwBrn

There’s not a word in this story about the corrupt nature of this dismissal. Not a concern voiced, not a question raised, not even an acknowledgment that he’s the president’s biggest donor and he’s acting as an unelected, unconfirmed tyro wielding unchecked power over spending and the civil service.

Delaware is worried that corporate exits would remove a major source of income from the state. So it's poised to pass a bill written by Elon Musk's lawyers that would weaken shareholder rights and likely give Musk a $55 billion payday. From @ryanlcooper.com: prospect.org/justice/2025...

"Tesla Takedown is direct action. As such, it’s a key step from protest — or expressions of opposition — to resistance, or acts of opposition." #TeslaTakedown wagingnonviolence.org/ipra/2025/02...

And I can promise you that the good people of New York are going to fight back against this evil narcissistic monster

Ta-Nehisi Coates: If Democrats can’t draw the Line at Genocide, they can’t Draw the Line at Democracy

Hi friends, I try not to use my rescue’s platform to ask for things for my personal cats, but this is a special case. Our wonderful foster kitten babysitter Wasabi has a painful bladder stone & needs surgery ASAP to remove it. We’ve been trying to manage it with prescription food, with no luck. 1/2

REVEALED: we identified the operator of an overtly racist X account, "GlomarResponder," as ICE Assistant Chief Counsel James Rodden, based on an overwhelming number of biographical details matched through publicly available documents, other social media activity, and courtroom observation.

it appears Delaware Dems and the (also Dem) governor are attempting to rip up Delaware corporate law so they can give 55 billion dollars to Elon Musk, with a bill written by Elon's own lawyers www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/02/...

above all else the current crop of republicans in congress are the most pathetic cowards to ever serve in washington www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

New—Social Security Administration (SSA) Commissioner stepped down bc she wouldn't comply w/ DOGE. Lower-level staffer Leland Dudek replaced her. In a now-deleted LinkedIn post (pre-promotion) shared w/ me, he said he was placed on admin leave bc he "circumvented the chain of command" to help DOGE.

I've noted some of the procedural things Democrats could be doing in Congress, but this point from @edgeofsports.bsky.social's great piece in the Nation deserves emphasis. This is basic politics, and it's baffling that every Democrat isn't doing it every day. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

Just a reminder: Your representative works for YOU. Every member of the House is back home this week for recess. Republicans must feel the heat for their complicity in the Trump-Musk coup. Democrats must know we’ve got their backs when they fight back. Let's get to work: indivisible.org/musk...

Reporters covering Cuomo’s supposed mayoral campaign have been receiving their manufactured stories from none other than Ken Sunshine, founder of PR firm Sunshine Sachs. You may remember him smearing women who spoke up about his client Harvey Weinstein: t.co/qDzwNO89O7

People who want to imagine that the dems have A Plan remember that they didn't have any response to dobbs even after it was leaked. I don't mean an effective response, i mean no response

SCOOP: Trump administration has been evaluating the costs of destroying or disposing of tens of millions of coronavirus tests that would otherwise be provided free to Americans. My story w/ Carolyn Y. Johnson. www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

great, a 5-page pdf with no identifiable plan or actions. do not make me run for office.

"I am finally free." Leonard Peltier walked out of prison today at 8:40am, nearly 50 years after the U.S. govt lied to put him there. New statement from Peltier, along with photos of him moments after leaving prison, in the sun, happy. www.huffpost.com/entry/leonar...

1. Meta removed a Facebook ads criticizing Elon Musk's efforts to seize Americans' private information through DOGE. A notice from Meta said the ads violated its rules on "Unacceptable Business Practices."

Every union should be echoing this statement.

This is my “daughter of a Black Panther breakfast program volunteer” coming out but anyone who tells you that you have to be public about all your resistance activity should immediately be under suspicion for being an op, or being under the influence of an op

Sorry but this is plainly a lie as anyone with eyes to see can tell. www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

Summarizing Elon Musk's government takeover thus far in under 60 seconds:

It would be easier to hold mass protests against Trump if we didn't have to spend so much time protesting our own Democratic leaders to convince them to take basic actions already within their power.

Seems clear to me that the Democrats' corporate donor class is DOGE curious. There's not much else that explains it.* (*The lack of institutional backbone or moral compass when faced with actual fascists)
