Maybe not, but let's be honest all those curves and swirls are really good practice for precision! So snakes are a good subject to get your off-hand up to speed! =^.^=

I'm assuming your left hand is your non-dominant? Drawing with your non-dominant hand and also putting your drawing tool on a stick (for distance) is a great way to get beyond the checks 'regular drawing' (and our minds) sometimes force upon us. I heartily recommend! 😊
