The food in Auckland is so bad that it would and could literally kill any patient required to stay there for any real length of time. We had to take DrC all his meals when he was in for chemo. Just true dreck.

Southern health had to approach Compass because the food was triggering mental health inpatients who had no access to other food available to them

I agree, I think it is worth journalistic investigation I mean Compass is getting an awful lot of money out the education & health sector. It's public money & shouldn't that be routinely scrutinized?
We know diet impacts on brain function, it's precisely why the school lunch program started.

I think the argument that private enterprise is "more efficient" is long dead in the water.

Whether it's the school lunches fiasco,rising power prices,contracts that continually blow out the prices to deliver infrastructure- i think that mantra is fully debunked.

Without the influence of a competitive market there's nothing to make private enterprise more efficient, even according to capitalist theory. Lowest-bidder tender processes just lock in overpromising underdeliverers; power is power (there's no "strawberry power") so no product differentiation.

Seymour is the first to witter on another "efficiencies" and "value for taxpayers money". He's obsessive about it.
