trump always screws up like asking for 10 thousand Mexican troops at the border, ok they said, but President Biden negotiated for 15 thousand at the border, so what did trump do nothing as usual. He is a petty little child, trying to fulfill his revenge tour
Truth be told! Good luck to those idiots receiving compensation depending on Lies of apartheid musk and🤬trump who don’t pay anybody once he gets rid of them poor (literally) RudyG trying to get owed legal fees!
Might have been people close to retirement. I mean, If i was close to retirement and they offer me to be on the payroll till September for not working I would have accepted it in a blink of an eye
Even if they've pulled the same bait and switch on many others and you get canned a couple weeks later after all? Retirement age or not, that would...not be smart.
Or they were going to retire in the next few weeks anyway and said, why not see if this offer pans out? Most people know the whys and wherefores of their actions.
Supposedly, 75,000 Feds overall bit on it. Unless they wrote into their resignation offer that the US government, by accepting the offer, waives its sovereign immunity from suit, they are going to get hosed...
I hope they won’t be surprised if they don’t keep their promises to pay them until September, since trumps most important day one promises have apparently been delayed!
There may have been 7 people already retiring this year or switching jobs. Normal turnover for USAID employees is about 20 to 25%. Of the 3k+ us based, USAID employees, 7 is about 0.2 %
Please don’t attack the workers! 😠 We must all stand with them. Maybe they were leaving next month, now they get pd. thru 9/30. Maybe they were going to retire this year. Maybe they just cannot take Trump/Musk’s garbage any more. 🤯 Stand with them all!
They will not get paid. There’s no money earmarked for this and trump is known for not paying bills. These poor people naively just quit and so won’t be entitled to unemployment benefits.
Who’s attacking them?? You have no idea how many people who are close to me are directly affected by this. But it is very likely that those who took this “resignation” will not see a dime.
To be clear, the OP was. “seven people who don’t know what they are doing.”That’s what I was discussing. What you responded with is even more reason not for (OP) to attack them. Sorry that wasn’t clear.
I said from day one the “buyout” was a scam, a loyalty test, and people would be fired.
There might be practical/partisan reasons to take the “not a damn buyout,” but
there is no guarantee that you will receive wages through September — they aren’t paid in a lump sum.
And I won’t bore you with all the ways that weak sauce scam is unenforceable or contrary to law
Likely so My question is why dem men haven't turned out at protests such as women have since the raygun era OUTSIDE where bigbro sends the dogs, but you're all experts at hiding on the internet? Asking for gray hair activists who've witnessed dem men fecklessness for 4 decades while women stood tall
If Americans can stop parading for the superbowl winners' turn off the reality shows like sister wives, the bachelor or these other scripted shows & fight for democracy, kids are more interested in going to clubs, but if they get pregnant, good luck to them if they live in a red state, WTFU 🇺🇸ns
Or is Elon Musk just deleting money from programs he doesn't like so that he can have our government blow it on his cyber trucks? Which we apparently are going to purchase 400 million worth of.
I'll bet they already have other jobs or decided to retire so it won't make a difference to them if[strike], when the deal is reneged.
These people have sterling resumes.
Yay. I don’t know the veracity of some spokesperson saying that they had close to 65000 employees taking the deferred resignation. The 🟠 wants the bigliest number, probably in the billions 🙄.
I doubt the truthfulness of anyone in this dictatorship 💩.
This ‘deferrred resignation’ bullshit is going to be the biggest con so far. I give it a month before the program is being cut short.
TRUMP IS A PROFESSIONAL STIFF. What part of that is hard to understand? And since you voluntarily resigned, you won’t qualify for unemployment benefits.
It could be that they were between a rock and hard place, took the offer in hopes that it was true. Who knows what their current situation is and that was the best choice they had. 🤷
Unless you know otherwise:
I'd bet most, like 2 of my college friends at USAID, in their 60's and retiring this year regardless of administration. Others may have outside offers in hand.
Sounds like a lot of waste paying people for months and expecting zero work in return. It’s almost as if they have no reason to get rid of them and they’re admitting that by continuing to pay their salary
Stay on payroll up to September? I thought that money for payroll was only good to March when it expires, then it is approved again with new contracts by congress for the next year. Those 7 people can expect not to get any pay after March.
Yep, believe the Continuing Resolution runs through Mar 14. See this as Trump’s 2017 tax cuts as 2.0 version. He handed tax cuts to the ultra rich and changed tax code for private jet owners. Gifted them an immediate 100% deduction on purchase. Pilfering is not for the deferred resignation folks.
When did congress vote to fund this buyout effort, and how much did they budget for it?
Or is it coming from a pot of gold guarded by DOGE leprechauns at the end of a rainbow?
I’m not sure that is entirely fair. The emails initially gave them 3 days to decide and everyone was caught off guard. To further demonize federal workers is not helping the overall problem of these unlawful firings.
Some that took the Fork were close to retirement, to leave room for younger hires.
Since the government is only funded for another month or so, can’t they just write this pay out and refuse to finish paying them. Trump is famous for stiffing people he’s owed money.

If we stand up to Trump united and unfaltering, he will be defeated.
It is heartbreaking
Please share this so others can see the human hurt and anguish being caused by the DOGE clown show rampaging through our government offices

I hope he starts winning the $tupid Bowl.

If you think there was USAID misuse, you are very likely brainwashed beyond repair.

Just like dumbass did at Twitter. They're gonna get a month and then he'll just gonna stop paying them. Tell them to fuck off.
If that's the case ...how many cabinet members dont know what they are doing
👏💪👏

No need to be demonizing employees.

He would not pay his vendors when he campaigned, why would he pay strangers for not working?
USA Today: investigation found hundreds of people even his own lawyers he did not pay.

Didn't get it twisted. I like 7 better, but.🤓
