We used to watch MSNBC a lot. But as things deteriorated, we gradually worked our way down to Lawrence. We have even stopped watching his show. He and Rachael may be under unbreakable contracts, so that they cannot leave easily. I have largely switched over to the up and coming MeidasTouch Network.

The fact that Reid is being replaced by a panel in which two of the three participants are black seems to be lost in the Jim Crow narrative. As is the fact that Reid’s ratings had plummeted by 58% after the election.

IMO, nothing we can do will get Joy her job back. Rachel calling out her ring kissing boss was good but I think that she’ll be the next one to go (but by her own choice.) Her boss just collapsed MSNBC but she doesn’t know it yet.
Reid’s ratings were way down. Her viewership dropped by 53% after the election. I worked in TV news and can tell you this kind of shit happens. MSNBC didn’t collapse because they let her go, and bear in mind she’s being replaced by a three-person panel, two of whom are black.
While I don’t work in TV news,I know that viewership for morning Joe took a serious hit after he went to Maralago. I stopped watching MSNBC then since I saw where the network was going. I’m guessing all but maybe Rachel took a hit in viewership because of Joe’s choice. They’ll lose more over this.
