With all due respect, who cares?

The role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons replaced “race” with “species” and divorced several character traits from biological identity. Some longtime players are upset (as is Elon Musk).

The same losers who like to stir up culture war nonsense like to troll about this stuff. But it’s fake online drama.
No one ACTUALLY cares enough to complain about this IRL.
NYT falling for the bait yet again ….
The Venn overlap of people who read the NYT and want to hear MORE from
Elon is probably like 2. And those people probably work in the newsroom anyway.
The rest of us are trying to avoid the dumb guy.
I had no issue with "race" but I had no attachment to it either so this change really shouldn't matter.
This means that (a) intrinsically "evil" races have to go away... and also, scientifically speaking, "species" is the right word not "race".
Most were either indifferent to it or preferred certain traits not being limited to one race.

ROFL, poor alt-right snowflakes can't handle these things.
They are butt hurt about whether imaginary creatures like elves are “species” or “races”?
Sheesh.
And in any case the definition of "species" isn't actually quite that strict.
If you and your racist buddies want to play an n-word filled game where you save the White Race by killing all the libs and reinstating slavery, then the rulebooks aren’t your main problem.
Otherwise why talk about it?
No one actually cares, and Elon’s impression is less impressive each day
