I had polio when i was 9. I was taken from my parents & placed in a Hospital for contageous diseases- the polio ward. I would see them once a week - thru the glass window at the end of my ward. I could not walk. It was terrifying. Kids died. Iron lungs were awful. Dont let RFK Jr ban the vaccine

My Mom and her sister had polio as children. After being asleep for a few days, they both woke up to find their Grandparents at their bedside. The Dr thought they might die and suggested calling in the family to say goodbye. I can’t even imagine. A few years later, three more children arrived.

My sister had 6 kids and they all had measles at the same time. It’s highly contagious. I remember parents intentionally exposing their kids to it so they would have immunity. I had pretty much everything as a kid. Mumps, measles, chicken pox, pneumonia etc. Vaxed for small pox.

Even though I was young I do remember the hallucinations from the high fevers. Once it felt like I was trying to walk on roller skates. Another time my blanket was flying around the room. I skipped Kindergarten and went into 1st grade because I was sick the entire school year.

My mom had it when I was four. She had two kinds and was in an iron lung for over a year. My sister and I didn’t know her when my dad brought her home. We had been sent to live with my mother’s sister. My mom had post polio syndrome for the last thirty years of her life.

My brother (adopted at 7) is 47, never got the polio vaccine in the Philippines and suffered from paralytic polio. His left arm and leg are as thin as sticks. I cannot even fathom why people would think removing the polio vaccine from the immunization schedule is a good idea-wtf is happening?!!😩
