The US system is fukkin horrible. I spend $800 US per month for passable health care that doesn't cover things. Canadian who lives in the US.

Not to mention that primary care docs in the US are leaving the profession in droves because of insurance nightmares and the workload is unsustainable - so it's not just Canada having trouble with primary care access.

+ Canadian nurses have been economically migrating to the US for years, as I understand it. Anecdotally the pay is much better, at least.

Trudeau's government announces in March that they would be looking at enforcing the Canada Health Act, but nothing so far. They need to look into Canadians' right to access of care, and how provincial policies are preventing people from accessing diagnostics, oncologists, and closure of rural EDs.
