The point of no return has already been met, it's a project that will be shoved down our throats. and we have it in our mouths already, all we need to do is swallow.
and maybe you won't swallow, but the next generation grows up with this from birth! Like breathing air or a mobile phone. it just is.
BY GOD AMEN 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
No seriously, this is a very good comparison. I don't watch autonomous racing for the same reason I don't look at AI amalgamations of something representing the closest interpretation of a user prompt
If you value the humanity in things, stop using AI to produce art, to consume art. Cause corporation's will gobble it all up and there'll be no good affordable art left for anyone. Reject it.
Tbf art is mostly about the final product, while racing is much more than just the finishing order and times. That being said essentially all ai art is garbage and have all the wrong impurities of a machine and is missing everything that real art should have.
People had this same reaction to photography. AI will lower the barrier of creating art, thus more people will try it and some of those people will then want to become more proficient in art. Using AI for art will just be a different expression of art.
Cuz even if you buy the "motor racing is about advancing technology" BS, its still about "for a human to drive" that actually makes it compelling. Only AI bros think that rooting for computers is actually interesting or fun.
"The current AI was an absolute shambles. Really embarrassing. So 12 laps into the race I made the executive decision to replace it with one of the old self-checkouts from Tesco."
From my experience of watching my replays of me racing 20 AI controlled cars, they don't really do anything unexpected or exciting. They'll be quick, perfect even and it'll be dull.
I mean, yeah, because they were racing each other, there's not much reason to leave the perfect algorithm. But when you have to learn on the spot and have sometimes unpredictable human racers as your opponent, it may be interesting. But whatever, it's just an idea no one's nuts enough to realise.

(Another fucking infurating thing the FIA have done; eclipse that by running a much worse challenge but somehow getting more attention)
Some team formed of geeks (usually engineers) build a robot and fight against another one. So funny.

So STOP using AI art.

He can't wander around insulting random bits of code!
Feed cuts to a shot of a crying emoji on the nose of the second Red Bull.
An AI can't create, only regurgitate.
An AI driving would never dummy, divebomb or wallride.
If you love AI content, watch simracing with no human drivers and let me know how quickly you get bored.
