Refuse to “like” this but appreciate the share. There will be no reliable way to judge proficiency or state performance. Unreal. States should align proficiency to naep now (yes, it’s steep) to have a clue on performance in the future.

They don’t want to compare school quality. In fact they don’t want anyone to know how bad the education will get as they cut funding — especially in primarily non-white districts, since this is all about resegregation.

Plus I worry if you don’t measure, can’t say there’s improvement or efforts are “working” or not. Easy to cut arbitrarily.
