i also really need people to stop joking about how taking people off antipsychotics and mood stabilizers is going to lead to us murdering the people who did it. it probably won't. it'll lead to a massive fucking increase in suicides though

I started birth control that fucked with my mood stabilizer within two days of starting it and I literally had to pull over on the side of the highway because I wanted to crash my car. I will literally fucking kill myself without them.

I am also terrified. Without my antidepressants, mood stabilizers and antipsychotics my situation becomes terminal. If it’s not SI, it’s extremely irrational and reckless behavior that can get me unalived.

I wish people had more tact. These jokes just reinforce the stigmatization of mental health, making it even more difficult to talk about it and further pushing people away from seeking help. Heavens knows this bill is just going to make it harder to access help and meds, and this isn't helping.

I have Major Depressive Disorder and severe anxiety. Without my meds, I get suicidal and self harm (I've never cut myself, but I've hit my legs and head when I've gotten frustrated over the years) and I stop wanting to ever leave my house. And if I can't get disability benefits, then I'm fucked
