Newsom has always been a creation of a "progressive" by a PR firm. He's the college sports star who has had people around him tell him the script and promote him. He famously doesn't read, yes really. His Staff as Gov has helped but he has been real weakling himself.

Totally trashed his career & himself as a person. To think he was considered a powerful, model Democratic leader, a person sometimes mentioned seriously as a Presidential candidate. I even heard it about the 2028 election. And all that, to my knowledge, not undeserved.
