The ultimate case of paternalism re: energy drinks is playing out on threads right now. 20+ years ago, ppl lived just fine without them. We’re all better off without them. Now, people who can only buy a single flavor of baby food . . . They have a point.

As someone who received the flu vaccine this year, holy moly the flu this year is terrible. I’ve only had it a few days and “appear” to be on the mend, but friends have had it three weeks and are still struggling.

Just to be clear, because I don’t think the Post story highlights it enough: This was Trump’s day-one pick to lead the Social Security Admin until his nominee got confirmed who RESIGNED a career job rather than do what Musk’s DOGE team wants. This is Treasury (DOGE) and DOJ (Adams) all over again.

Just the other day, one of my oldest friends and I teared up over the demonstration in Karlsruhe. Watching 5k of them walk past was moving. Germany will vote soon, and I hope they know better than to align with the far right. Bully-fascists like Trump and Putin only respond to aggression.

This is not how I wanted the world to support Ukraine 🇺🇦- long after invasion, with EU sending troops and not the US. But if the leak is true, I’m more thankful than ever for my friends in Europe. As I told my friend in Frankfurt today over lunch, they should show no mercy. Democracy over everything.
