I have a brain condition which the only clinic for it specifically is in my city and another one in China. I cannot just decide be a subsistence farmer.
Well that's why global supply chains are important, regardless of economic systems of capitalism and communism. But these global supply chains necessarily imply maintenance via state power which is therefore coercive in a way that the original post was complaining about
My “problem” in the original post isn’t coercion (whatever that means). My “problem” is the hypocrisy of capitalists that levy the hypocritical claims of “authoritarianism” at socialist states as if their political and economic systems are not worse.
so you're basically advocating that folks wander into the wilderness & live off the land, while conveniently ignoring the fact that under the current system both land & the tools to work it = $
lemme guess, these people should "jUsT bUy lAnD". & how do they raise the money to do so?
The idea that one can simply uproot and move to another part of the country or world specifically because we live in a capitalist system is barely worth responding to. Like...how am I going to move all my stuff? How will I manage the social obligations I've developed? Birdbrain logic.
It also ignores that many people with disabilities and chronic illnesses can't leave the country because most countries won't allow people in with these kinds of conditions.
This is an incredibly ignorant statement. Many people are forced to live where they are whether it is because they don't have money to move or they have a disability making it difficult to move and nearly impossible to leave the country.
