I agree completely with your second paragraph. But the word "Murder" has specific legal definitions, distinctions, degrees and differences. The law is unfortunately, incredibly complicated especially when seeking justice for the loss of human life.

It is even more troubling that one of the killers was a military veteran. At least in my military training we were taught the appropriate time to apply lethal force, this was literally no where even near the lowest levels of standards for the application of physical force let alone lethal force.

I've been serviced by the same mental health services that Jordan Neely had access to in NYC, because I was poor and uninsured. Wait times were three hours to see your doctor. I was accused of drug seeking because why else would I be there. I nearly died because of their poor treatment. So yeah--

I completely understand why the mentally unwell in NYC are the way they are. Because the mental health services are overworked, underfunded, and staffed by arrogant, uncaring ghouls who don't see their patients as human. I can’t imagine how someone’s mental health deteriorates when you don’t have your own personal space to go back to. Imagine always being around strangers, always being hangry and never getting a good nights sleep. It’s tragic and we’ve become so numb to the suffering. It’s just background noise.
