Most Indy games haven't really made an impact in gaming, they come out, get average scores and faded away quick. This feels like the first one that's really delivered on the promise of being Indy and living the adventure.
Likely taking many by surprise, hopefully word of mouth does it justice.
My siblings and I spent most of Christmas Break '94 (and on, and on) with "Fate of Atlantis" as part of that LucasArts Triple Pack. This is the first game since to give me that thrill. Cracking whips! Punching down Nazis! Temples! Treasures! Mystery! Dastardly villains! It's got THE STUFF!
It was one of those things were I believed completely in the team making it, I just fully expected Todd Howard to insert himself in the process and screw up all their hard work.
Ditto. A lot of folks hated on Youngblood (which I'd argue has more of an Arkane influence in level design, as they shared development with Machine Games), but I even enjoyed that for what it was. They don't miss.

New Colossus, though: kinda underrated
But we still have updates to look forward to. He tends to fix the lighting in a building and BRICK THE REST OF THE WORLD on a pretty regular basis.
Very much looking forward to it, Machine Games are still one of my favourite devs.

Don't get the hatred for the man
Needless to say, I didn't end up going to be until well past midnight. The kid who played Infernal Machine ad infinitum is incredibly happy right now.
