THIS was my first digital piece, and before this one I promise you I COULD NOT draw a stick figure to save my life. You can do it, go pick up a pen (or stylus), doodle something and reply in this thread. Even if it's just a simple circle!

Yeah. People who use those excuses just want results without any effort. The goal may seem so far, but you must start at some point. And starting something will always be difficult. Eventually, you end up enjoying just being in the path and not racing to the end.
I wanted my icon to be a poorly drawn Gengar face. Couldn't find anything online that looked as crappy as I wanted it, so I drew it myself with my finger on my phone
Haven't drawn anything since October of last year and March of that same year to practice other hobbies/work stress makes juggling other hobbies v tough, but i got these lmao
Congratulations, now you still can't and you're paying someone for the privilege of a computer shitting out that not art.
Just pay an artist, you will get better results.
I love to watch again the drawings I've drawn, to see the progress made, the first drawing i've done was during covid, and nowadays I don't draw that often but I know that with the knowledge I have acquired It will be so fun to go through the process of creating another piece
I drew very briefly in 2017, stopped due to huge stress from disability welfare assessment nonsense, but I'm so proud of what I managed, first and last drawing.
Isn't really my first digital piece of art but it is the first drawing of my sona so I feel like it counts (hopefully you can tell which is the new one)
I never was good at drawing but I did made these pieces after making several traced drawings for fun. I stopped tracing since then. Who cares if it looks childish/not quite right? I only have one fully fonctioning eye so no deep perception. I'm left handed & my left eye barely see. Obstacles.
I think I lost my first digital piece, (definitely did actually, was on a school loaner ipad) but I’m impressed with how far Ive come from my older pieces. This was my average humanoid back in time, oh ancient Sniper TF2 sketch.
Making art has been such a newfound joy in my life over these past few months. You and many artists I follow gave me the motivation to have fun with the process and doodle my silly ocs no matter how good or bad it looks! This is where I am now and I can't wait to see where my creativity leads me.
Yo can make anything out of anything, that's why I love art. It's about perception and we create what we see but having a computer do it all for us with a prompt takes that away.
Tried to pick up drawing at the start of last year. Only did it for a few weeks, though, before getting hit with a bunch of real life stuff that took too much out of me. Haven't gotten back to it since.
The journey is just as satisfying as the destination. Looking at how far you’ve come and thinking “wow”
I started drawing in my spare time for fun.
There’s a just over a year of progress between these two
The challenge of art isn’t just to make a good thing, but having to suck while improving. I have had instances of inspiration knowing that I could finally do the thing in my head. I have done inking & coloring because I was not good at sketching, but I knew with MS paint & a mouse, I could do it.
I was going to try something digital but I became frustrated (I'm way out of practice). Determined I just went back pen and paper. Ignore the one on the right. I can do better, I WANT to so better, I just need more practice.
I've had a drawing tablet for 2 years (I haven't drawn in at least 6) and this inspired me to finally just do the thing. Is this picture narsty? Yes. But did I literally make improvements WHILE drawing it that inspired me to keep going, because I will, in fact, get better? Also yes!
I like this message being spread a lot. I think art is so important. so to hell with it, here is my drawing of your drawing in pen. I don't usually draw people, just cartoons or whatever. I like to ask my coworkers what to draw when I'm bored and do my best on a post it and give it to em.
i bought an xp pen a few years ago. i haven't used it much. i used to doodle a lot as a kid, but not in a serious way. i'd like to get back into art and see how much i can improve. these are some old, unfinished drawings.

I think I haven't even sketched anything in a few years, so thanks for the push to draw something
This is probably the best drawing I did from then

What even is time anymore
I got rid of it and the other ones like it after I got WAY better at drawing.
Having references is also very important in finding the style we want.
These are just 3 years later and I'm so proud of it.
And I'm still learning, but got good feedback and made process in 2 months!
No more derpy eyes.
