Half Life 3 isn't a VR game according to leaks, but Valve is working on three different new hardware. The Steam Deck 2, a Steam Deck console, and a new VR headset.

Additionally, likely related with the console announcement, they are working on their own controller.

The appeal of the console really is that Valve could offer a PC/console that is similar in price to existing consoles, which is something that isn't really possible in the DIY market unless you're re-using old parts or buying used.

I just took delivery of a new headset having long given up on Valve releasing anything worth upgrading from an Index.

The index was falling apart.

So yeah, I could believe for no other reason that five days after I get my VR1, Valve would announce Deckard.
