It's not even exactly that, it's that a lot of people have been convinced that the only way to succeed, or I guess more "the best way", is some magical golden ticket that's going to mean that they don't have to work like everybody else

Putting your money into crypto and calling it savings is idiotic and the problem isn't Democrats wanted to regulate crypto it's that young men don't get how to manage their finances.

I think it stems from a combination of disillusionment from their "role" in society and modern day social media instant.
There is a good reason as to the overlap between self designated "alpha" males and crypto-bros.
By the way, many people rent all their lives just fine.
My dad at one time worked 3 jobs to support our family when I was young. He worked long ass hours & we barely saw him growing up. We didn’t take vacations every year nor eat out barely at all.
In the younger cohort there is an active hostility against the idea that "honest" work is something that even exists.
What's different now is we have senior leaders and media figures pumping the schemes, and preying on the vulnerable.
But Trump and Elon fans don't want those jobs. They want to be crypto bros or Junior Joe Rogans.
If Biden had regulated crypto with a light touch, likely young bros would have defected to Trump anyway. People plainly did NOT vote based on their bank accounts, policy, or any rational basis Mark Cuban imagines. It was feels and vibes.
It’s a negative sum game. On average, bitcoin purchasers have to lose money. But again, if math were their strong suit, they might be able to get real jobs.
