Did you manipulate the image or is that how the light looks naturally in your landscape? Those clouds in particular are beautiful.

No manipulation except for some dodge and burn here and there. This is a single exposure. But it may look different to you because it is an infrared image. They tend to be very contrasty.

This inspires me to share with you something I put together a handful of years ago. The lighthouse at the beginning is the Yaquina Head Lighthouse on the North end of Newport, Oregon. It stands above my most favorite little "secret" beach on all of the Oregon Coast!

The beach I speak of, rather than your typical tan sandy beach you'd expect along the West Coast, this one is composed of black basalt cobbles. The Pacific spent eons pounding away at ancient basaltic lava flows, and this unique beach is the product.

Hidden, secluded, not well known, so beautiful.

Just it's in Biloxi. Growing up, we would visit. We knew we had arrived when we saw the lighthouse. There is a street directly in line with it. The relatives lived a block off that road. It still stands after Camille and Katrina.
