More Leave voters think it's gone badly than well.

My biggest fear is that we have to wait for the RW parties and press to embrace closer ties to the EU before the EU will even open talks. No point in them speaking to the current govt if the RW scream Brexit betrayal and potential RW govt threaten reverse all progress in the next parliament.

Indeed. I feel incredibly let down by this government. It is my wish now that they lose their majority at the next GE, @libdems.org.uk at very least become the official opposition. That will change parliamentary dynamics. I hope displacing Tories is their organising principle for next GE.

Actually forcing the UK to drop its exceptionalism and joining as full members, (Euro, Schengen) if/when we eventually hard-rejoin will have been the Brexiteers only positive contribution to any of this, and far more constuctive for our long term relationship.

Just my opinion, but if Gov sought to end Brexit, they'd be absolutely hammered by RW press, even though it's obv the right thing to do (anti democratic blah blah). Plus it would consume a parl term, hindering other reforms. 2nd term maybe.
