Real leaders look for ways to polish their character every day.
Character combines personal values, a mission statement, a vision for their future, an understanding of who one is and how that might contribute to others, humility & empathy.
Real leaders start every day with "how can I be better?'

Please keep reminding all of us this. Please keep teaching
And pays someone just to prepare these
The hard part is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, and the loudest of stupid people now have harmful examples to follow in 45, in Jordan, in Bobo, in eMpTyGreene.
Add the racists, sexists, and homophobes - none can be penetrated by reason.
to paraphrase an average American,
you might be the asshole
It doesn’t make you an asshole. It makes you someone who recognizes that difficult decisions happen everyday and sometimes need a tiebreaker or extra weight.
You could just REMEMBER
No need to broadcast
“Look at me and how structured I am, I have a mission statement!”
No, you just might need to occasionally explain why you’re choosing to not do something.
How can I serve better would be more appropriate for a "Leader".
I ask how I can better myself everyday. And within that betterment is included how can I be a better leader.
Social media doesn’t see edits for clarity that a book would. I felt what I already do in the spirit of what was being said.
The post was vague bullshit
"Character combines personal values, unnamed, a mission statement, unnamed, a vision for their future, an understanding of who one is and how that might contribute to others, humility, LOL, & empathy".
Character never defined
As with all advice, take what you think works for you, and ignore what doesn’t (which for you might be all of it).
“How can I be better?” 💕
"integrity is a gift that leaders develop and give themselves each day"
My Father was a Hungarian expat (1956) who served in the US Army
What does that quote mean?
My Dad taught me from a young age that integrity doesn't just happen, you have to work on it daily and then its a gift to yourself that you have developed for hard times when you will need it most. i didn't understand until I was older but its hard and like Mark said takes daily work.
I’d add—real leaders know what to do when they don’t know what to do!
We’re gonna need ‘em!
