Durable/secure Peace beats War— #VolodymyrZelensky believes that.
But can anyone trust #ChudoYudo?
Offer Putin share of "rare earth security"—in *tri-lateral partnership* w/*guaranteed* democratic Ukraine/US—& sanction relief 1ce he withdraws to pre-2014 status quo.
I hope I’m still alive to hear the true story of how Trump became a Russian asset.
Because that is all that is going to guide any decision.

I agree with you that it’s transactional. They simply see that russia and China have more to offer than our actual allies but zero awareness that RU and CN can’t be trusted.
It is possible Russia is close to exhausting supplies and ability (reports of donkeys being used for logistic support?). Classic "rumble in the jungle" scheme by Ukraine. Russia has punched itself out. I believe Putin is desperate for a way out .... then along comes Donald Krasnov.

Good times and Good write up.
And it's not specific to Putin. Russia has been using the same playbook for 500 years. See "The Romanovs" by Simon Sebag Montefiore.
