If Washington Post management is blocking endorsements and cartoons, what else is being killed in the darkness over there? If only there was a clue on the paper's masthead...👀

Good question. IDK because I left the darkness and entered the light of blue sky. And selected other publications that had the guts to endorse Kamala. 🫂
The first action in a fascist dictatorship is to control the news and media. Then replay the propaganda until all the people fall in line and never question anything.
WaPo, acquired by billionaire Bezos, will become the ultimate right-wing-or cease to exist as more of those with integrity are fired or quit. A dismal ending for a paper that prized investigative journalism.
Tesla doesn’t concern me nearly as much as Starlink internet satellites & SpaceX. It’s important to know the communication companies moving to Starlink- like T-Mobile. Musk wants to control how & what info we can access & make us pay out the nose for it, and all while collecting our data for free.
… yes, agree this needs to be talked about more! Also, the disregard for the unprecedented amount of space “junk” this system is throwing into orbit will cause problems shortly.
The Tesla implosion is interesting because its failure would be highly visible, and quite satisfying!
Yes, I agree with you. But honestly, I think he has lost interest in Tesla. Hell, he could just give himself a federal contract for ugly ass cyber trucks.
I have predicted that IS what will happen. The supplier of the new Postal truck (OshKosh) is having launch issues, predict Trump/Musk will cancel that contract and sell his swelling inventory of crap to us at about $600K per unit. Elon again wins from taxpayer largesse. The Rubes will cheer.
Who knew that the motto was intended as a positive recommendation for the usefulness of darkness? We cancelled when WaPo refused to endorse Kamala Harris. We subscribe to the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Seattle Times now, much more honest reporting.
I’m sure there are a lot of things that never make it to light.
I’ve read a lot of books where journalists, reporters, and writers write a piece and it’s edited, deleted, or missing.
What’s killed in darkness? Read Naomi Oreskes:
“The Big Myth explores the history of how Americans in particular have come to loathe and distrust government.”
Then read “Merchants of Doubt” and “Doubt is their Product.”
I canceled my subscription in late October when bozos killed the endorsement. The orange turd made sure aws lost a large govt contract. Now bozos and the other oligarchs are kissing his ass.
Cancelled my subscription when Bozo the Clown went to kiss the ring.
Billionaires & Corporations are controlling the narrative to curry favour with the petulant toddler-elect wannabe monarch.
Sound familiar? FFS Wake up America. 🤡🖕
Bezos leverages WaPo as it's a tool to ensure Amazon pays lower taxes. He doesn't care about anything but Amazon. He would burn the paper to the ground if instructed to do so. What they print is dictated to him.
And AWS. They have a ton of gov contracts. It’s why Amazon’s 2nd headquarters is right over the 14th street bridge and less than 2 miles from the Pentagon.
They all make most of their money from Cloud Servers. All of our information - government, corporate, personal- is stored in Cloud servers. Amazon, Microsoft, & Google are the top three. Amazon controls most of our data. Everything else is entertainment.
We already know WP is MAGAt infested. We don't even read it. Thanks for your sacrifice to keep them on check✅
When do you think Congress will vote on disqualification removal?
the masthead needs to be changed to reflect reality. is elmo going to appoint you (bezos) to anything so you can continue to destroy our constitution for personal gain?
See how that Trickle back money Scheme worked for Trump when he gave the Rich Trillions in tax Cuts to rob US Government of money they needed for disasters and rebuilding. They all have plenty of money to pay Trump but not to hire more people or pay their workers more. Greed!
And yet, many choose to stay, as is their right. Maybe they don't want to go through the process of finding new employment, or naively believe they can change things from within. But the terms and conditions for their job are laid pretty bare, enough so to be painfully obvious
FASCISTS ARE STILL THE BAD GUYS

That, in a nutshell, is why I canceled my subscription when Bezos nixed the endorsement of Kamala Harris. Once trust is broken, it's a long road to earn it back.
I cancelled months ago effective with my next renewal. I had been tempted by dirt cheap offers they have been throwing my way to re-up but this seals it. No fucking way.
Why bother with that "truth to power crap" when you can get away without paying a dime in taxes and still get those tax cuts for the rich Republicans steal from the working class who pays ALL the taxes? And they wonder why nobody wants to support BOZO? I heard he's a clown!
For legal reasons I am leaving this here for no reason at all

2) I hadn't heard about cartoons. What have they done?
There is a clue on the masthead - "Democracy Dies in Darkness" only they mean you to take it other than how it works out. Corporate media hide or seriously slant important news dangerous to the establishment.
1) It was only Presidential endorsements for which The Washington Post is not making (a return to a former policy). They are making endorsements in other races. I think the local ones are most dangerous because there they have more influence, and of course they are establishment.
A victim of the New Orleans attack works at a Amazon warehouse and has been denied leave.
We know that the owner of the Post and Amazon won'tstand up for Democracy. But will he, a guy who pays a lesser % personal taxes than his workers, stand up for his employee?
The billionaire class who own our media are guilty of just as many sins of omission as sins of commission.
We definitely are propagandized to a serious degree.
Just heard an overnight host on the radio saying that he presents both viewpoints so listeners can make up their own mind. So we see!!!!
somethings happening here
it ain't exactly clear
to the pundits & writers we should hear
but we will never give in to their fear
we will rise again & fight
to stop
WAPO, WSJ, LAT, NYT, none of them are newspapers and haven't been for some time. You'll get more info from your local garden club's monthly newsletter.
I feel very sorry for most of the staff at WaPo. The writing was on the wall when Bezos brought in the rightwing Brit from right wing snooze papers the Telegraph as
Publisher.
This. This is why I unsubscribed. It’s not about hurting Jeff Bezos. It’s that as a consumer I can no longer trust the paper. Ledes missing articles killed who knows? I was a newspaper editor for years. Just no.
And you're unaware of the paradigm shift that is already in progress, based on Pluto, the planet of power, recently rmoving into Aquarius for the first time in 200 years. Aquarius is all about decentralization, power to the people, and the END of top down patriarchal structures. Stay strong.
Who? The Bezos family? The editorial board? The reporters? The opinion writers?
Murder is an intentional event so I realize you're not talking about an accident here.
In a recent editorial WAPO declared their ny resolution to be “embrace change “ and to admit mistakes. Wondering how long it’ll take them to admit they should’ve endorsed KM!
The rag, itself, should be considered its own endorsement as a cartoon. Really, people... WAPO has proven its failure to truthfully and accurately report the news. Stop supporting it. All of it.
EXACTLY! We don’t know what we don’t know. What she knew made her take the drastic step to leave and sacrifice her income and career. People, support her continued work.
Isn’t it funny how the so-called champions of “free speech” are silencing their own voices when the truth hits too hard? If you’re blocking cartoons and endorsements, what’s next—facts? Keep your eyes open, folks. The truth always finds a way to escape their grip.
If we are motivated enough, we can affect change.
Today, we need to use every option available in the Constitution to stop the felon insurrectionist traitor. Please stand and make your voice heard. We are bigger than Trump. We must show it. Sign and share. Thank you. 💙
They don’t own the news. We will be millions and millions of irrefutable facts that burn like beacons scaring away the darkness of deception and capitulation #ReNews
Like, what’s the real play here? Those things are staples of a newspaper’s personality, its soul. If they’re cutting that, you can’t help but ask, what’s next?
Their purpose is power through money, our only vote now is the meager dollars we control, and make no mistake, they are coming for our access to funds.
If only half of the people who no longer support the Washington Post would stop supporting X it would be a better world, yet they still hang in over there.
He was nothing if not insanely smart and 100% genuine. He’d unabashedly ridicule bad ideas in one breath and then fervently defend peoples’ right to utter them in the next. I often wonder where he’d fit into today’s political landscape. Only thing I know is he’d have a lot to say.
Good question. Hard to say who would give him a platform in today's media climate. One thing is for damn sure, he'd have the faux Christians heads swiveling. He would have stripped them bare exposing their hypocrisy.
I want to agree, but faux Christians have an impenetrable reality barrier. He sort of proved that while he was alive. I honestly feel like he’d be labeled as deep state or something. The purest example of intelligence buried by a majority of stupidity.
What do you think that accomplishes? You think canceling subscriptions is a remedy for what?
Jeff Bezos couldn't give away his wealth during the rest of his life no matter how hard he tried.
Canceling subscriptions hurts only the employees at the paper. Bezos doesn't give a fuck about you.
It is not our moral responsibility to support the WashPost or Fox or CNN. If one choice fails our expectations, then move on to the next who offers better product or service for the price.
That is how Amazon was built.
I'm satisfied with the product and service. The moral responsibility I feel is not to support systemic lying about that product and service, which is what I saw plainly here.
The Washington Post is not killing off democracy in the U.S. and it's ridiculous for folks to claim that it is.
If you want give subscription money to one of the wealthiest men on Earth, who censors & shapes Post content to support oligarchs, who engages in Union busting, who refused to pay its workers in warehouses well, whose company pays little to no taxes using our money to support his profits...go ahead
Let's clarify a few things.
I don't give any money to a rich man. My subscription is to a corporation whose revenue pays its expenses and which may have a profit.
I don't know that Bezos censors or shapes any Post content other than one event.
Amazon is completely irrelevant, as are corporate taxes.
Whomever you want, but be aware that sources owned by MegaCorp or MegaWealth have own motives and informing *you* is way down their list. There is no other guiding principle (not supporting Democracy or exposing corruption) than enhancing MegaCorp. Used to be balanced but the curtain is pulled back.
Being profitable is a corporate goal. Publications can become profitable by having a large readership, which itself relies on providing a product readers want, which then can rely on providing truthful information and reasonable opinions.
Wapo is nothing like Fox's constant lies and disinformation.
It's about personal accountability. Can you live with who you are and who you align with. Doesn't matter that the emperor continues on. It's about your personal honor.
#FuckingBoycottTryanny
Because it's no longer journalism and they are no longer journalists and some of them have never been journalists. As soon as they discovered that news makes money that was the end of journalism and the News carrying the truth. News died along with journalists in 1980 when CNN debuted.
Again, you just assume that the Washington Post is actively harming society. You just don't present any facts.
The owner stopped publication of an endorsement of Harris. That's all. The paper carried dozens of stories about the candidates and dozens of opinion pieces in support of one or the other.
I understand that point of view... however, I will not use my personal funds to knowingly fund any broadly published and editorialized propaganda that diametrically opposes my honest beliefs. Bezos doesn't give a rat's ass about ANY of his employees.
Our labour is our power. Without it the oligarchs crumble. Boycotts and strikes . So I guess the whole of WaPo staff from their writers to their janitors have all the power now.
Oh God, please! Just bc canceling my subscription (about 5 yrs ago) doesn't bankrupt bezos, doesn't mean I shouldn't do it. Wtf business is it of yours what ppl choose to do to fight? Hurts employees? Then find a job that doesn't support a fuck.
Their integrity and moral compass is being killed continuously and completely along with any hope that they will do the right thing!!! Obscene greed and corruption is the only legacy they will leave the world, ignorant fools!!!😵💫🤯🤮
It’s up to the writers to disclose the suppression of their articles. That’s how we won’t be plunged into darkness. Let them do what the cartoonist had the courage to do. You provide that platform. Bring them all in and let the truth be free to all of us. End this censorship before it’s too late

We have the power over these bozos, money speaks.
Don’t give them your money or time and attention.
I canceled my subscription of 6 years after Lex Loser denied the Harris endorsement.
Also quit Amazon Slime.
Boycott Amazon
Boycott every fascist trump taint licker.

It felt incredibly sad. The management made a business decision and I hope everything works out the way they want it to.

now?
But they might be killing off their leaders one by one!
It's worth a laugh, not much else we can do!
I hope that made you feel just a little better!
The Post is SAVED.
What could go wrong?
I’ve read a lot of books where journalists, reporters, and writers write a piece and it’s edited, deleted, or missing.
“The Big Myth explores the history of how Americans in particular have come to loathe and distrust government.”
Then read “Merchants of Doubt” and “Doubt is their Product.”
Bazos is one of the Five Families Now!!!
One should ask questions:
1) What do they print?
2) Is what they print accurate?
3) What do they refuse to print?
When they cannot be trusted, why read their crap?
THIS uncertainty is a HUGE PROBLEM!
Billionaires & Corporations are controlling the narrative to curry favour with the petulant toddler-elect wannabe monarch.

WaPo in its entirety.
Not worth the price of admission. Not even worth paying attention.
Not fit for the bottom of a bird cage. Would prob do damage to the bird(s).
