I'm not sure specifically what you want, but you could consider something like a trello board? It isn't as conventional as using one big journal but you could make different cards for different aspects and keep them updated like an archive or something? https://trello.com I use it for all kinds of stuff lol
Uhhh well I just use it for a lot of things and I don’t know specific tools so I kinda “make do” with whatever I know works. Kinda like how that one music video had someone texting from Microsoft excel. But hey it worked in the video!
Thought about MicroSoft OneNote, I’ve seen some talk about using it. I have not used personally but have seen some info and videos online that kind of fit those requirements. Taking20 is the video that introduced it to me
We used to use Obsidian Portal, but that was also at a time that there weren't really other options. I'm not sure if it's still holding up as a good site these days - we stopped using it some years ago and just started using wordpress on our own websites.
Understood. Works for me: we keep the clutter in a "General OOC" channel. I have channels for Episode Recaps, Game Info, Media, and Dramatis Personae. Anything else is gravy. Good luck!
A player asked for a resource to reference about the world they’re playing in. But the question is, if I actually sit down and write-up my setting, will the players actually read it 😅
Maybe when I get my setting all written out, I’ll be able to share it for anyone that wants to see. I won’t be looking for advice on world building, just want to show you the little sandbox I like to scratch around in.
I use WorldAnvil for lore and https://Obsidian.md for my NPC notes and relationship mapping. My game has a large NPC cast, so I wanted to see how to connect threads and keep family trees in order. Both are free, though Obsidian is installed locally on a PC and private. You pay to host it publically.

There used to be a RPG specific wiki website called Obsidian Portal, don't know if it still exists but they had a free and a subscription version

I’ve been switching over to LegendKeeper. So far, it’s my favorite UI.
