Another possibility to add to your cheery list: suppose the Supreme Court does develop a spine and stands up to Trump at some point. What's stopping him from packing SCOTUS, if the Senate's in his pocket? He could put 10 handpicked lawyers on there who will let him do whatever he wants.

Don't assume Trump will go through with massive tariffs and labor disruptions. These policies will be targeted--so as not to hurt the economy. The economy can roar for a couple of years and public spending will match it. Why suspect such? Its the classic path to fascist consolidation.

He did it to farmers in his first term with no care at all. Farmers were committing suicide because of his tariff war with China and China stopped buying US soybeans. He’s left his supporters at rallies with no way to get back to their cars in freezing temps. He doesn’t care about his supporters.
