I agree wholeheartedly with TSLA --auto purchases, stock purchases, the whole gamut. But I struggle on the SpaceX side. That's a much more complex decision cycle, individually. Not to mention, their first alternate employer is Blue Origin, so not much better. Then Boeing. Lesser evil, I suppose.

My earlier reply came off a bit sharp, so I deleted it. Morally, I don’t disagree with you. I just think shaming workers for the behavior of their boss is a step too far. It costs us nothing to criticize, but for them, it’s how they put food on their tables.

I didn't see the earlier reply, but I should have said that I don't agree with JVL's proposal to attack employees, and I'm not even sure he actually agrees with it. I was just making the point that all alternatives to SpaceX are better than SpaceX at this point in time.

I do agree with JVL's overall point, which is that Musk's power comes from Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, and that diminishing that power through the use of social sanctions is at least theoretically possible.

i got Solarcity solar panels on lease years back and then Tesla bought it so I am stuck paying Tesla unless I were to buy my panels entirely. i've had them for nearly 10 years and they are charging a premium to buy them so I might just wait them out on my lease and have them taken off my house
