Gilroy’s true, but prosaically so, acknowledgment that the popularity of the kids cartoon stuff gave Disney the financial chutzpah to greenlight (in my opinion, (his) vastly superior art) doesn’t mean what a lot of people desperately need it to mean: that “Baby Yoda” made Andor possible ~creatively~

Yes. There's a lot of folks out there who look down at the other Star Wars content we've gotten while highly praising Andor (I'm very guilty of this.) & while Andor *is* genuinely very very good--arguably the best--it's good to keep it in perspective that it can't exist without the success of Mando

bills is surely a good thing. I think the Mandoverse has very quickly gone down the toilet & someone desperately needs to take Dave's toys away, but it's hard to stay mad about it when, as Gilroy says, the success of Grogu directly correlates to Andor being green lit at all.
