It’s giving late-‘70s paperback horror novel cover. The type an older sibling might buy off a wire rack at the drugstore and that you might sneak-read for racy bits while they’re out on dates.
It’s like the second or third storyline after Garth Ennis took over from Jamie Delano. Absolutely worth going back and grabbing some old trades or setting up a DC Unlimited membership for a few months for.
i've read most of the early stuff in order, but i'm not 100% sure where i'm up to. then i started reading what was current when i was in uni so there's a big chunk missing in the middle
I could be wrong, but wasn't it fairly ambiguous which royal it was in the art, but the text really strongly implied it was Prince Andrew, talking about his military history?
No, you're right, I'm wrong. Andrew is the guy at the bar who starts talking shit about the Irish before John drops him because Kit, his girlfriend, is from Belfast.
Given that it's heavily implied in the Royal Blood storyline that Charles was possessed by the same demon that possessed Jack the Ripper, this all tracks perfectly to me

I’d seen one with Elden Rings but as I don’t play that it was lost on me.
Fun fact: he’s never dressed himself. Ever. A staff of five people do it for him. Five times a day. I assume they are cenobytes
