I would get occasional breakouts like most kids, but was obsessed with the idea the dirt and oils caused breakouts, didn't yet know that stripping yr skin of natural oils and some "good dirt" was actually a lot worse..dry and red all the time

Which is what that St. Ives shit was/is. We were just smashing microplastics into our skin, like a poor persons botox
I mean, evidence to the contrary....
I think as a generation who mostly said no to cigarettes, that probably helped too.
We used sunscreen more.
We didn't smoke as much and indoor smoking was banned.
We understood how to wash our faces and moisturize better.
But I do think we’re the gen that wears sunscreen more often than not
